Tackley WI meets on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) at 7.30 for 7.45pm in Tackley Village Memorial Hall. We are a friendly group of women of all ages – from 30s to 90s. Our programme includes talks on subjects of interest, craft evenings and social occasions. We also have a monthly coffee morning in a member’s home and occasional trips out for coffee and lunch, and visits to places of interest. At Christmas we collected toiletries for the women’s refuges run by Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse, linking in with one of the WI’s national campaigns. We have also knitted poppies for a trellis which is displayed in the village for Remembrance.
Members pay an annual subscription which includes our meetings, the national WI Life magazine and the Oxfordshire Inspires Oxfordshire WI magazine and access to the WI Learning Hub with many online courses. Visitors are welcome at our meetings for £5 including refreshments. Do come along – you will be very welcome!
