A Welcome Place, a Warm Space
Every Tuesday 10am – 12:45pm at The Gardiner Arms
The Gardiner Arms ‘Welcome Place’ will be open* for anybody to come in and just relax, to meet with friends or make new ones, to work on their own and also enjoy free tea or coffee, and we hope a few refreshments etc. Any volunteers to help with this would be much appreciated!
The fire will be lit, so you are very welcome to just enjoy being in a warm friendly place, maybe read, chat, perhaps play board games, cards etc.
Or use the Wi-Fi to do a bit of work away from home!
You can drop in for as short or as long a time as you need or wish!
All are welcome!
* The bar will not be open except at normal licensing hours
We hope our Gardiner Arms ‘Welcome Place’ will be part of the National Scheme, ‘Warm Welcome Campaign’ which aims to:
- Create local, regional and national communities of connection. Unlock the power of community spaces made by and for everyone.
- Enable a more deeply connected society where we all have free access to welcoming community spaces.
For further information on the wider scheme please see their website: warmwelcome.uk/strategy
